Founded in 2023 by Yasmine and Mehdi, ALTIN builds on nearly two decades of experience within Tunisia’s artisanal landscape. Guided by what they define as organic minimalism, their practice draws upon ancestral techniques in wood, metal, rush, and clay to explore the evolving relationship between heritage and contemporary design. Each material is approached as a language in itself, capable of renewal without rupture. The inaugural collection, Orbite, established this methodology through eight works conceived as speculative propositions on the continuity of making.

Since its creation, ALTIN has expanded through institutional collaborations, bespoke commissions, and international exhibitions. Conceived as a laboratory rather than a studio, the practice interrogates the capacity of craft to think: to reformulate questions of form, materiality, and temporal persistence beyond the exhausted polarity of preservation and innovation.
