Alex Turco’s practice occupies the liminal space between art and design: a territory he has deliberately claimed through his self-coined designation as "artdesigner". His work represents a contemporary synthesis of Arte Povera’s rawness with the geometric rigor of Italian industrial modernism. The OnlyOne collection marks a decisive turn from his earlier career creating luxury installations for Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior toward a more haptic, phenomenologically grounded approach centered on Ibiza’s geological memory (salt crusts, calcareous deposits, weathered wood, variegated sands) transforming these fragments into materialized landscapes.

Turco’s methodology is fundamentally site-responsive and temporally layered: his iterative gathering of materials from specific locations imbues the work with « organic memory, » positioning each piece as a sedimentary record of encounter between artist, material, and landscape.
