“Œil de boeuf 1” is a contemporary stained glass mural. It is made from traditional Saint Just glass and a glass painting technique specific to the artist. The mural is produced from water and ink burned with candle soot and stuck between two panes of glass. The shape of a circular window watching over a symbolic habitat inspired this work which, cut in two, disappears through the wall. Its pattern freezes a liquid drawing erasing the traditional pattern of the tile and plays on a dialogue between warm, cold colors and black smoke.
